WHAT WE'RE DRINKING AT CSL

Some members of CSL really like beer, others will drink it but not very often, and then there are those who do not particularly like the taste.

Welcome to the game changer - Innis and Gunn. EVERYONE loves it. EVERYONE has been raving about it. EVERYONE enjoys the taste. (This includes the non-beer drinkers).

Why? It tastes completely different to every other beer we have ever had. Made in Scotland, the beer undergoes an oak aging process. It lends a subtle sweetness to the beer and rids it of the sometimes unpleasant bitterness that beer can have.

The gift box (pictured) is now in stores and features a branded glass, a bottle of the highland cask (a favourite here at CSL), a bottle of winter beer and a bottle of the original. Guess, who were the first in line to pick up a pack?

MOUNTAIN HARDWEAR/MONTRAIL AND OUT THERE CLIMB TO MOUNT YAMNUSKA

Calgary mountaineer Will Meinen leads the group up the mountain.

All new Mountain Hardwear gear and Montrail shoes were road tested by CSL this Fall 2010 in the company of renowned Calgary mountaineer Will Meinen, Calgary-native and 2-time Everest Summit mountaineer Jamie Clarke and some of the owners of Out There.

It was a foggy late September day when we hiked from Nakoda on the Lake in the Kananaskis Mountains to Mount Yamnuska. The Baselayer shirt we tested was comfortable and stylish (perfect for travelling), the Hardwave Pack was light and provided plenty of storage. Our favourite item was the mountrail Hiking shoes which were so comfortable they felt like we were walking on air. All the gear was tested in tough conditions - it was pouring rain throughout most of the hike, there was fog, and the ground was muddy. Through it all we were warm and comfortable - and made it to the top!

Earls’ inaugural Compassion Gala is in support of the Zebra Child Protection Centre which
“integrates a multi-disciplinary community of professionals in a child centered environment
that nurtures the abused child and uses all the wisdom of its partnership to see that justice is done.”

The First Annual Earls South Edmonton Common Compassion Gala will
be hosted on Thursday, November 04, 2010 at the Earls South Edmonton Common location. The evening begins with a cocktail hour featuring luscious signature cocktails in the lounge filled with live music.

A delicious four course meal with bread service created by our Chef Rui Carvalho will follow in the exquisitely decorated dining room. We have received an overwhelming response for both local and out of town companies who have graciously donated to our silent and live auctions.
