SPONSOR A GUIDE DOG PUPPY AS A HOLIDAY GIFT

(photos courtesy of Alberta Guide Dog Services)

For less than the cost of a cup of coffee a day, you can give someone their very own puppy…but they won’t have to feed it or take it for walks! They’ll get the joy and satisfaction of watching their adorable puppy learn to be a guide dog! And at the same time, you will be supporting Alberta Guide Dog Services, a local charity that breeds and trains guide dogs for blind and visually impaired people and support dogs for children with autism. Sponsoring a pup costs just $250 for a full two years and you’ll even receive a tax receipt for your gift! (Monthly payment is also available.)

The recipient of your gift will receive a welcome pack that includes a framed photo of their new puppy. From then on quarterly “pupdates” will arrive – from the dog’s point of view -- on how they are progressing, along with more pictures as the dog grows up. The ultimate gift comes at the end of our two-year training program -- a photo of the young dog graduating with a partner who needs them. It’s not just a warm and fuzzy gift. It truly helps our charity to make a visible difference in someone’s life.

Although it costs more than $35,000 to produce one guide or autism support dog, the recipient pays just $1. The value to the person who gets the dog – Priceless!
