A coterie of celebrity servers were on hand to entertain guests
On May 14 2011, guests gathered at Sirocco Golf Course for the 10 000 Kids Project Culinary Gala in support of Brown Bagging It. 10 000 kids in Calgary go hungry every year. In an effort to help, a group of intrepid entrepreneurs organized an event, auction, and dinner to raise funds.
David Adjey, host of Food Network's Restaurant Makeover and world renowned chef spoke about the importance of food and the kitchen to his success. Jebb Fink, the evenings master of ceremonies kept the crowd laughing while personalities from some of Calgary's best known television and radio stations served guests.
Auction items ranging from a signed Iginla jersey to fresh water pearls, a 3-night Napa Valley wines experience and a trip to New York city were on offer. Guests eagerly jostled for the auction items and many laughs were shared.
CSL is hoping this will become an annual event - here's to the kids.
