The brand new Calgary West Country Market will open its doors every Saturday, from April 28th through October 27th, at the Wild Wild West Event Centre, across from Calaway Park!!
Imagine a market set in the Wild West that is more than just a market – it will be a destination!
The Calgary West Country Market will attract residents and tourists alike, with its fabulous vendors and unique western theme.
Be sure to mark April 28th on your calendar, because that’s Opening Weekend!! Expect a big, fun, extravaganza to kick off the Market season, with lots of excitement and special entertainment planned, it’s an event not to be missed!!
Market Manager Jennifer O’Shea says “we are so excited to fill the farmers market gap on the west side of Calgary. The support from both the vendors and the public has been incredible. I have a strong passion for the farmers market community and am thrilled to once again be part of a live market.”
Hungry shoppers will be able to buy food from the vendors, as well as from a concession stand and an on-site Italian restaurant.
There will also be a kids area for the little cowpokes in your family. ‘The Children’s Corner’ will have face painting, balloon twisting, colouring and so much more.
The market will be a mix of indoor and outdoor spaces, with room for 200 vendors, making up what’s sure to be one of Calgary’s top markets. With lots of space, plenty of parking, exposure to the Trans Canada Highway and Calaway Park, Calgary West Country Market will quickly become THE place to be this summer!
Calgary West County Market wants to give back to the community by helping non-profit organizations fundraise and promote their cause. Each Saturday a new organization will host the Market’s Community Booth, providing information and materials about their specific charity.
Bottled water company, Arctic Chiller and BigFamilyMarket.ca have graciously agreed to be sponsors of this program, with part of the proceeds from each bottle being donated to that weekend’s non-profit organization.
