On March 11, CSL attended the Break Up
and Move event in Calgary where nationally recognized relationship expert
Kimberly Moffit and local women’s health expert, Dr. Rupinder Toor Mangat
talked about how much better your feel (and the physical and psychological
benefits of) making the choice to break up with bad things in your life.
Break up with the hamster wheel of inconsistent, unhealthy
eating habits. Why? Because you feel better when you stick to
your goals. Stick to it no matter
what. Rainy day? Choose an exercise routine that can be done
indoors, like rejuvenating yoga. Craving
a greasy multi-tiered hamburger and fries?
Opt for a smaller size burger and swap the fries for antioxidant-rich
sweet potato fries. If you do slip up,
don’t beat yourself up or feel guilty. The point is to keep moving forward with
the aim of always doing better next time.
So what was the main takeaway? Choose consistency. Choose to move up from those bad habits for
good.
When it comes to your sexual health, another popular
topic of the event discussion was contraception. If a particular birth control method
is something you’re considering breaking up with, the birthcontrolforme.ca website is a great resource to see what other options are available.
