Just like you, we’re constantly on the go, and whenever possible try to prepare our own healthy and delicious meals - though a shortcut every now and again is a real treat.
Reminiscing about a trip to Crete, we were inspired to combine two of our favourite things- French fries and Greek food in one dish (think: a take on a gyro without the pita).
Armed with an arsenal of ingredients usually found in a Greek salad, we combined McCain Superfries low salt straight cut to create our very own delicious Modifry recipe. #Superfries #Modifry
Ingredients
McCain Superfries® low salt straight cut
½ cup sliced cucumber
1 small tomato, diced
¼ cup sliced olives
¼ cup crumbled feta cheese
¼ sliced red onion
½ tsp. oregano
¼ cup gravy
For the Lamb
Lamb loin
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp. dried thyme
1 tsp. rosemary
¼ cup olive oil
1 tsp salt
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
Recipe
Step 1: Marinate
Let the lamb come to room temperature. Mix all the ingredients for the lamb together. Pour over the lamb ensuring it is evenly coated and marinate overnight
Step 1: Roast
Roast the lamb for 30-45 minutes in a 300 F oven
Step 2: Bake
Bake the McCain Superfries® low salt straight cut for 18-20 minutes
Step 3: Top
Sprinkle the tomatoes, onions, olives, cucumbers, feta, gravy, oregano and sliced lamb on the fries
Step 4: Enjoy!
Serve in individual bowls and share with friends and family
