ST. LUCIA THE IDYLLIC LOVE ELEVATED WEDDING ISLAND

Searching for a unique wedding destination? Why not get married aboard a ship while sailing the azure waters of St Lucia? I was invited to Helen and Lucas's ceremony aboard the majestic Perle - an ideal setting for a romantic wedding in St Lucia. The Perle is a 4900 sq ft hand constructed traditional wooden schooner (the replica of an 18th century Far Eastern pirate vessel)

Thinking of tying the knot in the Caribbean island of St Lucia? There are myriad options for wedding dresses, venues, and accessories on the island, like the unique wedding dress options pictured above.

A display of cupcakes and treats at the wedding rehearsal dinner for Helen and Lucas. The setting? Pigeon Island - a 44 acre property of 18th century military ruins located along the North West coast of Saint Lucia – the alluring “ruins” were tastefully decorated and lit for the wedding rehearsal dinner. The beachside setting (private sandy or stony beaches abound throughout) with iconic coconut and almond trees, green spaces and a quaint gazebo tucked in among old growth tropical trees made for a lovely setting. I even caught a glimpse of neighbouring island, Martinique.  Pigeon Island has something for everyone making it ideally suited to the couple looking to personalize their special day as did Helen and Lucas.

Newly renovated The Landings Hotel in Rodney Bay. Each room features breathtaking views of the idyllic beach, harbor, lagoon or channel. The westward-facing beach provides a wonderful spot for floating on the calm waters of the bay.

If your idea of romance is lush tropical growth, secluded bays, emerald waters, palm tree lined beaches with the magnificent pitons in the distance then St Lucia may be the destination of choice. With ample views to frame your walk down the aisle, a relaxed vibe and many hotels that make it easy to customize your special day(s), this is a place to make your love elevated.

At the island's many hideaway hotels, honeymooners, those celebrating their anniversaries, newlyweds and couples were ever present - confirming the island's reputation as a romantic hotspot. It certainly is a place to make your vows and renew them again and again.

I held an event here, and it couldn't have gone any smoother. An infinite list of food items were there. The staff and manager from Chicago wedding venues were excellent. As an event coordinator, they made my job extremely easy.
