All new Mountain Hardwear gear and Montrail shoes were road tested by CSL this Fall 2010 in the company of renowned Calgary mountaineer Will Meinen, Calgary-native and 2-time Everest Summit mountaineer Jamie Clarke and some of the owners of Out There.
It was a foggy late September day when we hiked from Nakoda on the Lake in the Kananaskis Mountains to Mount Yamnuska. The Baselayer shirt we tested was comfortable and stylish (perfect for travelling), the Hardwave Pack was light and provided plenty of storage. Our favourite item was the mountrail Hiking shoes which were so comfortable they felt like we were walking on air. All the gear was tested in tough conditions - it was pouring rain throughout most of the hike, there was fog, and the ground was muddy. Through it all we were warm and comfortable - and made it to the top!
