Once a bike shop and private home, two year old Vin Room is now a stylish restaurant that focuses on marrying food and wine.

New executive chef Claire Cameron draws from international influences for the menu (a CSL favourite were the lamb meatballs served with a fragrant sauce). While Karen Kho, the restaurant's sommelier designed the wine list "to please novices and aficionados alike."

Phoebe Fung, owner, took some members of CSL on a personal tour of the two floor restaurant. A five month refurbishment to the original space included refinishing the original hardwood floors, installing a murano glass fireplace and repurposing wood from the Court of Queen's Bench for the restaurant's staircase. The result is a restaurant that looks inviting, intimate and decidedly devoted to food and wine.
